This does look pretty good. My only peeve is the chin/bottom side of the head. Other than that, this is great. You've done well.

Look for Skin Edit. It's a simple program to create skins with 3d effects easily. I've made a few skins with it. Better to use this than Windows paint, as paint doesn't allow for transparency in PNG images.
