Exiled by his tribe, the Monster "Barusa" was rescued by Princess Claire of Olthea, and given a home in her castle. When she was taken by the dragon Tolfida, Barusa stewed in guilt over his inaction. He was only too happy to join Ray Jack, Kaliva and Toby on their quest to bring her back, after the quartet were blessed by the time god Khalam.
