Celerus is the god of swiftness, who enjoys hunting, sneaking, and honing his throwing and archery skills. He is commonly known as the greatest hunter among gods; no one is better. This is why many Minecraftians look up to and worship him before commencing a hunting session, in hope that he may bless his/her hunt. Celerus is known to be very fond of forests; in fact he is hardly ever seen outside woodland areas.
A common story which expresses Celerus' prowess, explains a time when he was in an archery competition with other gods, to find out who was the best archer once and for all. Celerus brutally defeated every other competitor, piercing a drop of water with an arrow in a blink of an eye. Although he is generally known to be a kind, caring person, he is not to be messed with. Celerus, living in forests for all of his life, has an extreme love for animals, of all kinds.
While certainly possessing the aspects of a god, he is not regarded as a true 'god' as he really doesn't care about his duties and his role to play as god; he doesn't respect the other gods and in return they don't respect him. He doesn't particularly look the part for a god, and at first glance the only things other-worldly about him are his mysteriously glowing eyes, and abnormally large height. That is, until you see him hunting with full momentum.
