Renestrae is a very clever elf thief. There was a war between Dwarves and Elves that took away her parents' lives. Raised by her father's half-sister in a poor area, she didn't have much of a childhood. In due time, she learned to sneak an extra snack while at the market. As she grew, she pushed her luck to the things and amount she could steal. Her aunt disagreed with her behavior and tried scolding her, as Elves are known for their grace, but Renestrae did not change. Instead, she grew far more distant and overly confident in her skills. She constantly works on her agility and wears her stolen goods in glory. At this point in her life, she does not steal to get by, she steals for the sole purpose of proving she could. Renestrae lives with a bounty and does not regret any choices she has made. After all, ran astray is in her name.

I'm somewhat of a freelance artist and character creation is something I really enjoy. For the prompt, I took the extra step of designing a character on pen and paper (or in this case, stylus and tablet) to create an idea of what I wanted the skin to look like. I'll admit, this was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I'm pretty proud of the results! I finished the concept art, so if you'd like to compare the skin to the drawing, check it out here!
