Here is my own design of a typical Confederate soldier of the Civil War. Most Confederate soldiers wore different clothes paterns because the South didn't have enough materials and resources to make one specific uniform. Many soldiers had to make their own uniforms out of old rags and sheets. The most common colored uniforms were light brown and gray wool outfits sewn together. By the middle of the Civil War, the South couldn't afford much materials at all. Soldiers had to go bare-footed and pick off shoes and clothes off of dead corpses, unlike the North ,which had way more factories producing plenty of uniforms for the Yankee soldiers. I hope you enjoyed this brief article and please enjoy this historical skin. Thankyou!
