You might be wondering why it has taken so long for me to post a Timeskip / High Lord Dimitri skin, especially after my Brave Dimitri skin, which was probably about 2 years ago now. In truth, I've had this skin sitting around for about as long as Legendary Dimitri has been out. I've never felt confident about posting it though, mostly because I was worried the skin just didn't look good enough, that the armour wasn't detailed enough, the shading or palette weren't good enough. Eventually I just forgot I hadn't posted it, especially since I've used it in-game quite a lot since then.
All of that aside, I'm posting it now. To be honest, I still don't think it's my most interesting or dynamically-shaded skin, but I think it's still worth putting it up, because I know Dimitri has a lot of fans (I count myself among them) who would appreciate this.

I think I already wrote a lot about him for my Brave Dimitri skin, but I really like his character arc and the way it deals with noble expectations, mental health, trauma, loss, self-worth and accepting yourself even if you have changed forever. His mental illness is certainly a bit cinematic, but I think it serves to make his arc more compelling and memorable in the long run, and to increase the pay-off when he finally learns to move on. Many lesser writers would have ended Azure Moon with Dimitri cured of the guilty voices inside his head, but instead, much like true experiences of mental health, he gains the confidence to ignore these phantoms conjured by his conscience and learns to do his family proud by being a kind, brave and wise ruler.
