This is a model of Dr. John McLoughlin. John McLoughlin was the Chief Factor and Superintendent of Hudson's Bay Company at Fort Vancouver. He earned the title, "Father of Oregon" for his assistance in the settlement of Americans in Oregon Territory and his relationship with the local American Indians. His store in Oregon City was famous as the last stop on the Oregon Trail.
