Seraphic Dragoons are the elite warriors of an expansive kingdom in the clouds. Few have ever caught a glimpse of the city and those who have seen it have called it The City of Aether, after a fabled realm that floated beyond the clouds.

Few have ever managed to reach this secluded city sitting on the various types of clouds that act as its foundation.  There are far too many storms conjured by the inhabitants for anyone to get close enough to enter. 

Past the storms is a breathtaking city of white and gold enchanted marble, a stone that resonates with the air to glow a light shade of blue. The people co-exist with dragons, after a consensus that the dragons would remain protected within the storms that conceal the city in exchange for their help in running it.

A fledgeling warrior is usually paired up with a dragon from young. They usually start off as a dragon rider.

Through training in magic, a select few are able to merge with their dragon companion temporarily to form a single entity of pure destructive power.

Being able to merge with a dragon meant that the dragon and its companion have to share an extremely close bond with one another to become fully synchronised to work together as one.

This gives them wings and an armor of blue, white and gold. This made them look a lot like angels, giving them the name of Seraphic Dragoon.

The armor is the dragon itself, granting the Dragoon the protection of the hardest dragon scales. Feather wings allow indefinite flight capabilities for aerial combat. 

The City once had an enemy. One that could withstand the lightning and thunder of the storm boundaries. The people were left unprepared as they never expected the storm wall to be breached. 

This led to the creation of the Seraphic Dragoons to combat this threat and lay waste to the enemies of the City. 

Now they act as protectors of the City, ready to serve once more in combat when another formidable foe attacks. 

They live in a city in the clouds, hence Above the Clouds :P
