Hey guys! I'm back on PMC for this month's contest particularly because I was just interested in doing a cyberpunk skin for the first time. I think that the result turned out pretty good and I might change the skin later on if people start suggesting ideas that I might agree with.
I made the skin, Drake, sort of branch off of the series, Assassin's Creed since I have been playing a LOT of AC3 lately.
Drake's backstory:
Drake Meter wasn't always an iconic figure in the futuristic dystopia of Mineopolis.
Drake was an orphan; he lost his family to a drive-by by an unknown gang with the markings of 3 lines in some sort of shape like a triangle. Before Drake was introduced to the Brotherhood, he had been living off the streets, scavenging what he could find to be his next meal. Using his exemplary parkour skills, he traversed all over the rooftops, alleyways, crooks and nannies of the city. One day however, a certain person had been watching his moves very closely. That day, Drake had been free running in search of a job to make a better living than what he was already working at. Little did he know, someone was waiting for him. Someone that would change his life forever.
As Drake was about to reach the public work station's noticeboard, a man walked up and asked him a question.
"Are you Drake Meter?"
"Yes, why do you-" Just as Drake was about to finish his question, he was knocked to the ground by a strange person wearing a black suit and a striped fedora. As quickly as Drake got back up, the man swung at him again. Drake grabbed the man's fist and twisted him over his shoulder. He was then backed up against a corner surrounded by the strange man's gang. He looked at one of the men's suits. There was an insignia just like the one on the back of the the drive-by's car in his childhood. Just as gang beleaguered* Drake, a shadowy figure dashed by all of the gang members and simultaneously, they all fell down. The shadowy figure came to Drake and introduced himself. It was the same man who met him at the noticeboard.
"Are you Drake Meter?"
"Yes, who are you and what is happening?"
"Come with me, it's not safe to talk here."
And so they went, into a dead end alleyway.
"This is just a dead end. What do you want from me?" asked Drake. The strange man pulled a lever and suddenly an entrance came up. As the two of them went down the hallway, the entrance slammed shut behind them. When they reached the center of the hideout, the mysterious man began to explain who he was and why he wanted Drake.
"You still haven't told me why you wanted me," said Drake.
"Well, first things first, my name is Hercules. We abducted you because we were given intel that you were the key to this city's uprising."
"What are you talking about?" asked Drake.
"You are the long lost ancestor of Desmond Miles, the person who saved the Earth, when no one else could. Your great-great-great grandfather was a remarkable Assassin."
"What is an Assassin, what do you want from me?" asked Drake louder.
"The Assassins are an order that's been around for as long as the Templars have. Before you ask, the Templars are the people who attacked you today in the first place."
"Wait, so you're telling me that the people who attacked my parents a long time ago were the same people who ambushed me."
"You're exactly right, Drake. The Templars wanted to get rid of you because you are one of the last Assassins left."
As the two men began to talk on and on about the Order and its ways, Drake brought up the symbol that he saw on one of the gang members he fought earlier.
"Those men were the goons of Abstergo, one of the many branches of the Templars. We Assassins were established to preserve the freedom of the people, the exact opposite of what the Templars intend to do," explained Hercules.
Before Drake had a second to take in what he just learned, an explosion came from a nearby room and smoke came out of the hallway. It was Abstergo trying to capture Drake. While Hercules had four Templars on him, Drake was busy handling their captain. As the Templar captain was about to knock Drake out with a metal shock rod, Hercules assassinated the captain with his hidden-blade. After the captain was disposed of, the rest of the Abstergo members ran away.
"Where can I get one of those weapons?" Drake asked, referring to the hidden-blade.
"First you need training..."
