Sora is not on the team to explore unknown planets, but to make sure that new recruits from all over the galaxy join,get tested and then assigned to a captain.

When she joined the Intergalactic Exploration Team she started as a pilot, but when her SpaceRunner crashed she was mortaly wounded and from then on she hasn't been able to fly or land a SpaceRunner ever again.

At only age 30 she has become a living legend within the team. After her recruits got their first mission was succesfull she became one of the top members of the exploration team and she still is today.
