I'll give you an upvote because, as a new skinner, you're not off to a bad start, but you're going to have to spend a bit more time focusing on shading and contrast before you impress me. Try to look at a source image and copy the colors as they flow across the model, instead of just using the color palette to place lighter/darker pixels about.
