The First Doctor was the.well,first Doctor on the BBC show Doctor Who. He was played by the seasoned 53 year old William Hartnell,who with Carole Ann Ford (Susan), William Russel (Ian),and Jacqueline Hill (Barbara) formed the first TARDIS companionship on the debut episode of Doctor Who on November 23rd,1963. Hartnell went on to play the Doctor for four more seasons until he left the show in his final episode "The Tenth Planet". His Doctor was said to have died from exhaustion in keeping his ancient body running.
