His Royal Highness, William, Prince of Wales, born His Royal Highness, William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales on 21st June 1982, is the eldest son and heir to His Majesty, King Charles III of the United Kingdom and the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Prince William was born St. Mary's Hospital in London during the 70 year long reign of his paternal grandmother, the late and great Queen Elizabeth II. William was the first child to be born to a Prince and Princess of Wales since the birth of his great great uncle Prince John who was born to the then Prince George and Princess Mary (later King George V and Queen Mary of Teck). Prince William was educated at several private schools throughout his life starting with Jane Mynor's Nursery School and then the pre-preparatory Wetherby School. Following this he attended Ludgrove School then Eton College where he studied geography, biology and the history of art for his A-levels. Whilst at the University of St. Andrews, where he would meet his future wife Catherine Middleton, Prince William initially pursued a degree in art history before switching to geography in his second year. In 2005, Prince William graduated from the University of St. Andrews with a Master of Arts in Geography.

Following his time at university, William enrolled at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2006 where he completed a 44-week course as an Officer Cadet before commissioning into the Blues and Royals as a Lieutenant. Despite William, with the Queen's approval, wanting to serve on the frontline a plan from the Ministry of Defence which would of seen William serve in Southern Iraq leaked meaning his life and the lives of soldiers under him would of been at even more harm. Instead Prince William with both the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force respectively. In 2008, William passed out from RAF Cranwell gaining both his RAF Wings and the rank of Flying Officer. Following this William joined the RAF Search and Rescue Force in 2009. In 2015, William served as a full time pilot for East Anglian Air Ambulance for two years.

Prior to his wedding to Catherine Middleton, William was created the Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II via letters patent on 29th April 2011. Following the accession of his father to the British throne on 8th September 2022, William automatically became the Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Baron Renfrew, Lord of the Isles and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland. On 9th September 2022, it was announced that King Charles III would create William as the Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester - the traditional title for the heir to the British throne. William was officially gazetted as both the Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester on the 13th February 2023.
