Story:
There was a time when he was normal. Of course, there was a time when everything else was normal as well. But now...it is post-apocalyptic.

He was frolicking in the field of roses next to the cows when it happened. First, it started raining. So he decided to head back to home. Then after a while of running back, it got dark; just like any other day, you might suppose. But then the monsters came out. First he saw just one, which was fine, as he killed it with ease, but then two more came. He couldn't see very far in front of him as he ran away. He could hear at least five monsters behind him now... He no longer knew which way was home, night and rain still very much upon him. He found a village; it seemed abandoned, but that didn't matter. He went to the closest house and shut the door behind him. Then he found something that he'd never seen before, a trapdoor in the corner of the house. He went over to it and went down a ladder that seemed to stretch forever. Finally he hit the ground and turned around to see a room with a table, chest and furnace. He opened the chest to see tools inside. He felt a sharp pain in the side of his head and fell unconscious on the ground.

He opened his eyes to red. There was red everywhere. His eyes stung. He blinked repeatedly. He heard whispers and felt something holding him down. He was mostly numb. He could feel a stinging sensation in his back and side. They radiated pain. Although in his chest and other side he felt this cold, painful feeling that stretched down to his ankles. He felt another tap on the side of his head...The whispering decreased in volume and his eyes shut again.

His eye opened. Only one...the other was sealed shut somehow...It hurt when he attempted to open it. There was no sound in the room, only his breath. His arms ached as he pushed himself up. He hopped out of bed to feel very sore from head to toe. He saw everything weirdly tinted red as he stumbled past a body lying on the ground and towards the ladder that he somehow knew he had to climb. He kept looking up as he climbed and he saw a light that gradually grew bigger and brighter as he climbed. He was still dazed from awakening when he came to the opening through which the ladder led. He watched as the village caught fire and slowly wandered away, somehow immune to the flames that licked him.
