Day 1

The end.

The end of everything that ever was... Yesterday, North Korea launched a Nuclear attack on New York, Chicago, Houston, and my home city, Los Angeles.  I was lucky enough to be watching TV at the time.  I saw the emergency broadcast telling us to go to the nearest fallout shelter where they were handing out gas masks. All I took were my jacket, my bag, some matches, some chips, some soda, and my old butterfly knife.  My home was 50 miles away from where the nuke was detonated.  Right before they closed the doors to the shelter, I saw a guy out there, begging to be let in... They left him out there.  I saw him disintegrate as the bomb went off.  His life was ended in a split-second.  Why did he have to die...

Day 4

Savages.
People are savages.  As I stepped out, I was nearly trampled by people running towards stores.  I believe I heard gunshots.  I saw some teenagers taking clothes off an old man and another group looting a scorched body.  How could the world come to this...

Day 5

Its so cold.  They are calling it a nuclear winter.  I'm glad I brought my jacket...

Day 11

I had to kill today.  I was attacked by a crazy guy whos face was charred and burnt. He was probably in his 60's.  He had nothing but a short sleeve shirt on. He screamed at me to give him my jacket.  He ran at me with a piece of broken glass with tape over it like a make-shift shiv.  His blood stains my hands.

Day 34

I was walking in the city when I heard some gunshots and a woman scream in pain.  I ran towards the sound where there was two,almost military looking, fully armed teens.  They were laughing at the woman flail in pain on the floor.  

But something changed... I didn't feel disgust or fear... I didnt feel anything.  I just walked away.  Almost as if I was an animal programmed to survive. What am I turning into...

Day 75 

I found a gunstore that was almost fully untouched.  Inside there were multiple guns, but I didn't have enough room for much so I just took two pistols plus about four magazines for each gun and I kept them in my bag.  It is truly a prosperous day.

Day 76

I killed again.  Only this time I was the attacker.  I saw some unarmed old men with two bags full of food coming out of the grocery store I was about to loot.  I shot them both in the chest, grabbed the bags, and walked away while they screamed in pain.

This world... Its kill or be killed.
