should I quit?
idk my reason's stupid buuut

I joined pmc to some-what improve and to share my skins
which in a way, yea did happen i'm sharing my creations.
but the real goal was for people to like my skins nyehh

Im not trying to sound needy and 'hungry for popularity'
wow yes not sounding needy mhm suree

I guess I just don't see the fun in it anymore ;p;
probably cause I'm stupid

i felt like this before but cool people helped me
through and that's why i love them

idk anymore give me your opinion in the comments or something
you can do whatever :3

I sound stupid don't I?

let's talk. <3

it's honestly your choice, but in my opinion, hell no. i just found your account and i'm damn glad i did. and don't worry, in the beginning, EVERYONE wants everyone to like their skins. it's not needy or hungry for popularity, trust me.

if it doesn't seem fun, just hunt around for some inspiration. if you do enjoy playing minecraft, go around on some different servers and see what other people do like roleplays and such, that's where i get my skin ideas ^^

also, don't worry, you don't sound stupid AT ALL. this ran through my head aswell, but i just had to get back in the swing of things. if you have to, take a break. don't rush a bunch of skins and don't feel obligated to make them. unless you set a real schedule, just let the creativity flow to you and do it on your free time. oc ideas, character ideas, making skins based on actual objects, colour palettes you see in every day things and even outfits you see at the mall/shops you go to can give you an immense amount of inspiration.

so, in my own opinion, i would really love to see you stay and grow your 'talent' or whatever you wish to call it for making skins. because as of now, they are AMAZING. <3

thanks for the advice, but we all know you're better ;uu;

tbh it was also 'cause i felt like i wasn't being creative, when you see all
those 'big skinners' on here it's like how did they think of that?
also, it's about style. i felt like my skinning style was just generic, anyone can do it.
like look at you! you've made your own signature skinning style and it's special in it's
own little cinnamon bun way ♥

taking a break seems like the best option, you're right i shouldn't rush things
I'm working on a skin right now actually, i made it to play around with ways i could make it seem more 'originally'

it's definitely difficult to achieve an 'original' look that people WILL remember you by. hell, i'm still trying to figure out how to create different designs. and honestly, how do they?

please though, try not to compare. if you compare yourself to others, you'll only find yourself to be more upset about your work and everything you've tried to do in the first place. focus on your own work and look at other more 'big skinners' first skins. they started in the same place we did!

honestly i had to mess around in McSkin3D for like 2 hours until i finally found a hair shading style i liked. it took 1+ hours to find my torso, arms and legs. honestly just look at your favourite skinners and say 'i like their style. let's try and base something off that!' and maybe just mess around with different things now that you see the basics in how they did it.

your skinning style is a bit generic in all honesty, but no, not anyone can do it. your shading style on the hair is definitely unique, i like it.the pants, honestly my favourite part tbh. the torso can use some working on and along with arms, i love it. and i'm picky when it comes to that, but i genuinely like your style.

try looking at your favourite art styles aswell, be it in anime, simplistic cartoons, maybe more 3d things like.. kingdom hearts or something. see how their clothes shade and fade and see if you can recreate an image like that on a skin. maybe like, wrinkle effects around the rib cage or something.

there's so much you can do with it, you really just have to have an open mind. if you're starting out on a hair colour and you make it too light for the next shade, don't erase it, finish it and see how it looks. if you don't like it, yeah then fix it. same goes for everything. just pick random colours or look at colour palettes online and see if you get any ideas.

if you really open your mind to it all, anything can happen. you can get ideas from a book cover or even a pack of gum. (no joke, i have a pack of extra gum, the winterfresh kind, and the colours on it gave me a winter skin idea for december) don't question your ability to do something like this. instead, dive in and say TIME FOR ME TO GIT GUD!

it just takes time. c: ♥

i worded that horribly. i said your style is generic, but i meant just the clothes on it since it is actually really difficult to think of clothes that no one does all the time. your shading style itself is on its way to being known for YOU using it, just the outfits is my only complaint about it all.

thanks, tbh i feel like my shading is different in each part, think of it like music.
to me my hair and clothing skinning keeps the same tempo, but everything else is slow and out of rhythm.

that's one of the things i want (and should) work on, also thanks for the advice for inspiration,
next I'll make sure to stare at my gum before eating it xD
can't wait to see that winter skin!

Your skins are awesome! Nice shading, different themes, and that fading effect (saturation)!

When I was your level I remember having EIGHTEEN SUBS. You heard it, 18 subs.

When I said I was taking a break, did anyone respond? No.

When I told the world I would quit, no one responded. But I didn't quit. I can already see a lot of positive comments down here.

Everyone has a different start here at PMC, some go high up quickly, some take time, and some never. Some make skins everyday, some once a month. This guy has 1000 subs and this guy has none.

Look, what I'm trying to say here is, don't give up! Stop being so negative! Look at the bright side!

how is this skin a robot again?

Just from looking at this skin alone, you seem to be pretty good, if not to share your 'creations' with anyone, it's something to focus on. I'm gonna sound like a teacher here but, from a different standpoint it's kind of like a job or an internship, it's something to do, set deadlines and set goals to suceed.
