Vekkem was formely one of two prince twins, however his parents made the grave mistake of trying to harness the Nether's power for their own greed. This sin cost them their humanity, and twisted the entire royal family into monstrosities.
The Queen became a ghast, forever damned to weep over the loss of her kingdom and humanity.
The King became a wither, doomed to rot away everything beautiful near him.
The first prince became an Enderman, condemned to isolation and being forced to slaughter all who gaze into his eyes, for they clearly show the sins of his family.
The second prince was twisted less horribly, but still became something inhuman. He became an insectoid entity who was left with ruins to rebuild from... but what was once a mighty kingdom is now a pulsating, thriving hive of spiders and phantoms that towers over the Shakka Desert.
Vekkem became more than a prince, but a lord, a lord of a terrible and hideous mockery of a kingdom. His hatred amplified by the Nether's vile energies, he is a violent and cynical ruler, often compared to the tales of an ancient spirit who tormented the world before the god known as Notch struck him from existence.
