Lt. Jacob Schnider used to work for the military under a Special Forces unit of 6 men know as Omega 6. He was the funny, liked to shock his squad mates with static, and always wore a red and white SweatBand.  On one of their missions to rescue a Foreign Embassabor from a Militia Group in a classified location in a jungle.  They successfully got the Ambassador out, but as they were on their way to the Extraction point, they were ambushed by the Militia.  They all got down in the grass and all they could hear were gunshots all around them.  They stayed there most of the night until the Militia eventually left thinking they were dead.  Lt. Schnider got up to check on the rest of the team and the Ambassador, they were all dead.  Lt. Schnider carried them by 2's to the Extraction point and brought them all home, he never wanted to go through that horror ever again.

After that Lt. Schnider left the Military and became a Scientist for Contixer Labs.  One day in the lab, some chemicals reacted and caused an explosion and shorted the power out, everyone had to evacuate.  On his way out, he noticed one of the lab workers was trapped under some rubble from the explosion and the chemical gas was making its way towards her.  Dr. Schnider, previously losing his entire squad in a combat zone, didnt want to see her die, so he went to rescue her.  He was able to rescue her, but he was exposed to the chemicals and had a reaction with them.  Due to the explosion, some wires and cables broke and the chemicals stored the electricity and enrgy within the chemical mixture.  And when the chemicals reacted with Dr. Schnider, the chemicals and electricity in the chemicals got in his blood stream... he was now able to control electricity.

He decided to use this new gift of his, and decided to bring out his Special Forces uniform back out.

He used being able to control electricity to his advantage and was able to take out dangerous targets single handedly and prevent anymore people from being hurt.  "The Crimson Mask" was born
