A doll with enamel eyes...
When Polymia the Mechanical Doll was created, she was meant to simply dance and fan herself. After gaining sentience, however, she realized that ceramic and metal had significant advantages over flesh and bone. She found that she could, in fact, force humans into submission while she pursued her own interests- mainly the playing of Minecraft.

Ah! You've uncovered my thinly veiled inspiration!
That said, yes, I do love this aria, in fact, the whole production. So few opera companies have the appropriate amount of fun with the costuming, props, and setting for it though- It's such an opportunity to steampunk everything to kingdom come, I'd love to be on the crew for one of them someday.

Hehehe, I agree.. steampunk would be great for it  :) 

I was  a coloratura soprano in the long ago and far away. studied hard but didn't perform all that much, but the  arias were such fun, - they still play in my head sometimes. ^^

Now I dig in mines for redstone, coal, diamonds and iron, build impossible 'steampunk'  castles in 'peaceful', breed sheep in many colors and ride piggies.

Minecraft, gotta love it - and ..   "Polymia"!  *chuckles ^^  - look for opportunities to get on a crew - it's surprising how opportunities can come up if you try ...   and enjoy your Minecraft! ^^

Ah, that's so kind!  I'll keep it in mind, but honestly.. she seems just right to me - you did a great job! ...  now my piggy is saddled up.. I think I'll go for a little ride (we both enjoy it hehe) ^_^

Thank you!  she's delightully steampunky with her porcelain doll face and excellent clothing - just right for me - (and she fits in perfectly in my steampunk world with Glimmar's wonderful steampunk textures)  ^_^

Thank you kindly! Yes, faces are quite a challenge to do, you have to really characterize them to make them look okay with so few pixels. This was an additional challenge, too, because it had to be narrower than standard faces so that you could see the gears past it. I like making more work for myself, ha ha.
