Here is Marco Polo who is a famous explorer. He was born into a rich merchant family in September of 1252 in Venice, Italy. From 1271-1295 Marco Polo explored much of Europe and Asia. 17 of those years where spent in China. He learned how to read and write in four languages (at the time that was a lot). On January 8, 1324, Marco Polo Died in his home. He lived to be 69 and led a live that everyone appreciates now. In modern day, a game has been made called Marco Polo. In this game the person who is it is blindfolded, and has to say Marco and everyone else responds Polo to help him/her to find them. This is called Marco Polo because when Marco Polo first set out on his journey, he didn't know where he was going and neither does the it, thus the name Marco Polo.
