Reworked most of the skin, including legs, arms, body and helmet. Thanks to DragonsDungeon for the suggestion.

Yeah the palette isn't very subtle... so the next higher red value is like a bright orange... not sure if it'll look better, but i'll try it out and post a screenshot to see what you think :)
