An explorer, Meditron returned to his home enclave on Infinity to ndiscover that the Darkspore had mutated every intelligent species into ngenetic slavery.

Horrified, Meditron escaped, warning every ncreature he'd previously encountered of the impending Darkspore nArmageddon. But while fleeing through the canyons of Iktotom, Darkspore ncreatures shot him down, making Meditron crash inside a crevasse called nIktotomos Skull.

And there inside the Skull lay a discovery nbeyond reckoning.

Iktotomos Skull was an abandoned laboratory of nwhat had obviously been a vast alien intelligence. The lab gleamed with nindecipherable technology run by almost unfathomable science. Yet there nwere fragments Meditron could understand, including one word: noCrogenitor.o

Meditron calculated a plan. Knowing that his npursuers were closing in on him, he redesigned and repurposed the nnanobots he had once used for detection, healing, and nperception-amplification. Accelerating nanobot production from millions nto billions per minute, he lay in wait for those who planned to destroy nhim.

And when the Darkspore attacked, Meditron penetrated their ncentral nervous systems with nanobiotic beams that amplified their nsensory perception, especially the sense of pain.

Those Darksporen experienced such agony that they ripped themselves apart.
