You got the job done with as little shading as possible. I also like how you adjusted the eyes to fit the character, really blends in well with the skin. Definitely diamond-worthy.

You don't need to worry about what others think about your skins, if you're happy with the skin then that's all that counts.

Yeah it's simple, but isn't Minecraft simple? I'd much rather wear this skin in-game than the Megaman I made.
