In the area meant for head accessories (using Photoshop) I made a layer that is semi transparent but I am not sure if this semi transparency will actually show up in game. If I understand how transparency works in minecraft it only works in the head accessories areas and additionally I think it is either a blank pixel or a colored one with no in between.

I have not actually looked at this skin in game as i made it for someone else.
