Minecraft Skin Contest Entry:

A bit about the skin itself:
if you remove the Jacket layer you can see the circuit board inside!
and it's 100% made by ME! I haven't really made a skin like this before, so it was a fun challenge!

Backstory:
This is Minecraft's first Steel Golem. Created by Villager Redstone Engineers. they were hoping to
create something better then the Iron Golems. they had seen and heard that Players were far superior at
protecting Villages then the big clunky Iron Golems. so they tried to make one similar to the Players.

Their first attempts were rather underwhelming, the first one was still not the right size, But more importantly
when it tried to move it's joints would buckle and it would collapse under its own wight. The Iron Plating they
used was far to heavy for this small a frame. So they tried it with thinner armor, but that compromised it's combat
ability. This version was still not the right size, although it could move, and that was the important thing. when
they put it in the arena with some captured zombies it didn't last long. The thinner Iron Plating was no mach for
the zombies and they easily broke through.

They tried various combinations of materials and sizes, but nothing was quite right. months of work went by
and still no success. Until they found a new material to use in the construction. They heard about a metal
that was Harder and Lighter then Iron, And using this new "Steel" they put it on their smallest Golem, which was just about in scale with a Player. When they tested it in the arena it performed better then they had expected. It was able to fend off the
zombies far longer then any of their other Golems, but when they tried it out in their village it didn't act the way they had expected. It was acting like a normal Iron Golem, walking around and punching zombies. but they wanted it to
be more player like.

To Give the Golem life like a Player, they used orbs of experience and crystallized redstone to make a Stone Of Life.
They installed it into the Steel Golem and activated it...


"There was darkness... I couldn't see anything. there was no sound. I couldn't feel anything... Then light and pain
flooded my mind, a red pulsing light... Then a bright white light and voices. They were speaking about
about me. I saw them staring down at me. I tried to speak but it was not like theirs. they looked at each other and then back at me." one of the Villagers said "Ah it worked, he's alive."
