She's a product of the fire nation's mindset. Power and control through fear. She made everyone fear her, and thus she isolated herself. She lost, alone and broken. She'd make a perfect Shakespear villain; someone so dead set on control that she loses everyone important to her in the process.

PS: Would you consider doing a skin of Avatar Kyoshi? She's my favorite Avatar when it comes to design. :3
