god i love this song!! i really think they were far ahead of their time. the first chorus sounds so spacey and cool with the mellotron chords in the background, i don't think it would sound out of place in a modern song. and then there's all the weird experimental things like all the recordings being played backwards, the different tunings (everything up until the second chorus sounds a bit lower in pitch), all the weird loops and background noises, and the fade-out at the end tricking you into thinking the song is over but then it comes back again (i've heard that it was actually an accident, like the producer turned the song down but then realized they were still playing so he turned it up again, but honestly considering how intricate the song's production is i feel like it was intentional. i have no idea tho).
