Those versed in Greek myth are familiar with the tale of the legendary bard Orpheus, and the boundless love he held for his wife Eurydice. When his beloved perished to the fangs of a poisonous snake, brave Orpheus wasted no time in making his way to the underworld to bargain for her life. Though the myth attributes his skill with a harp and pure heart as the means to persuading Hades, The Battle of Olympus suggests a more aggressive play.

The player takes the reins of Orpheus himself, wielding club and shield against all manner of famed and horrible beasts. He'd slowly gain the favour of each member of the Pantheon, earning boons from each that would aid him in his quest. Not gorgon, nor siren, nor the God of the Dead himself would stop him from reunited with his true love.
