Alex was always made fun of by the other monsters because he didn't particularly have any special abilities and he didn't have any scary attribute to his appearance. One day at the monster gathering, no one payed any mind to the our green fellow. The King of the monsters had asked for a volunteer to take on a very dangerous task.

King:
"There has been a monster among us that has betrayed our trust. He has run off into the cities and has been scaring Humans. We must not allow him to continue, there is to much of a risk of him showing the world of our existence. Who among you will track down this traitor"

No one was standing to volunteer, most monsters were scared of Humans. Alex was lost in his own thoughts of what Humans were like, when suddenly. The monster sitting behind him had kicked Alex's backside causing him to stand up.

King:
"You there! You will help us in this dire need?"

Alex looked up at the King to see who he was talking too.

King:
"Alex, is that you? I never thought someone as small and cute as you would take on such a dangerous mission."

Alex:
"No Sir..."

King:
"It's decided! Brave Alex, you will bring back this traitor and stop our existence from being compromised."

Our poor Alex was tricked into taking on the mission. I hope he will be okay. Besides, how scary can Humans be, and maybe the Monster he's after won't give up a fight. Alex was standing at the edge of town, in awe, looking at the huge structures that seemed to reach into the sky. This is where the Rogue Monster had run off to. Could Alex really find him in such a giant place?

Alex:
"The King had told me that I should be fine, that Humans like cute things."

Alex then bravely brought a foot forward into the unknown. Each step closer and closer to the large buildings. He hasn't noticed any Humans, but a lot of large moving monsters with big round black circles and shiny bodies. He thought maybe these were the Humans, if so they are very fast. He continued to walk down a stone pathway. There was a smaller building made of trees. A creature not much bigger then Alex had ran out of it. The creature had long black hair coming from it's head, a pink layer of cloth that seemed to reach it's feet, and a big smile as it swung around something.

Alex:
"Is that a Human? What does it have in it's hands?"

Rogue Monster:
"Help!!! The Human has got me!"

Human:
"You're funny, I want you to stay with me forever and ever and ever."

The rogue Monster had been captured by the Human. He didn't abandon the Monsters, he just wondered to close to town. What can Alex do? He sat down in fright as the Human kept spinning. Suddenly the Human stopped and spotted Alex.

Human:
"Oh wow! So cute! I want to pway with it"

The Human had dropped the rogue Monster in a rush to get Alex. The monster ran away as the Human got closer to Alex. Alex couldn't move his legs, so he moved his arms over his face in protection as the Human stopped in front of him.

Human:
"What's your name? My name is Britney."

Alex:
"Al... Al.. Alex."

Britney:
"That's a nice name, you're so cute! Want to pway with me?"

Alex:
"You're not going to eat me?"

Britney:
"No silly, you're not food."

The Human didn't seem to want to cause harm. It seemed nice. Unlike the other Monsters it liked that Alex was cute and small. Maybe humans wern't so bad? Alex thought.

Alex:
"Umm sure? What do you want to play?"

Britney:
"Let's pway tag!"

Britney had poked Alex and started to run off. He was hesitant and thought this was his chance to run but he felt he should stay. So Alex had got up and started to play with Britney. They played and played until they were both tired. Britney picked Alex up and hugged him.

Britney:
"Would you like to stay wif me? I had lots of fun."

Alex thought of the times he spent with the other monsters and the few hours with Britney. No one had ever treated Alex this way before. Britney was kind, fun, and didn't think he was useless.

Alex:
"Sure, I had lots of fun too!"

Britney:
"Yay! Let's go inside."

And so our poor Alex wasn't so poor after all. He had started a new life with the Human and had fun, day in and day out. The rogue Monster returned home and the other Monster's rejoiced and mourned poor Alex. Maybe he will return home one day too.
