Caesar's Legion Background:


Caesar's Legion is an imperialistic, reactionary, and totalitarian dictatorship based on large scale slavery and tribal dominance. Founded in 2247 by Edward Sallow, who then renamed himself Caesar, and Joshua Graham (also known as the Malpais Legate), the Legion uses trappings of the ancient Roman Empire as part of a unifying identity imposed on its tribes but does not recreate any cultural, social, or political institutions of ancient Rome. The Legion itself is simply a slave army built on ruthlessly utilitarian principles, supported by several tributary populations.

Enslaved men are used for combat, and are called legionaries, while enslaved women are forced to bear children and support the war effort. Both are predominately reconditioned tribals, forming a well-organized, culturally insular fighting force that, as of 2281, mainly operates east of the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon, primarily in the former states of Arizona and New Mexico with footholds in Utah and Colorado.

Caesar reconditions his soldiers to worship him as the "son of Mars," supposedly sent by the god of war to conquer and civilize the wastelands, but he has made no effort to establish a civilian culture (“civilized“ communities who submit to Legion rule are generally allowed to keep their freedom to an extent, rather than being absorbed into the army), as his ultimate goal is to conquer the New California Republic and merge its civilian culture and infrastructure with the military strength of the Legion, creating a new totalitarian empire.



Prime:

Prime legionary are the second lowest ranked members of Caesar's Legion and come from the various stock. These legionaries are those who have more experience in battle. Although some are from conquered tribals, most are likely from children trained from childhood to be legionaries. These legionaries are given better equipment and are the most trained common type of legionaries. Due to their increased experience and quality of equipment, they would be akin to the principe maniple.



Caesar's Legion Remake:


The Caesar's Legion infantryman will not only use Machetes, Spear's, Throw able Spear's and Shields, but also they will use Hunting Rifle's, Pistol's, Repeater's, Shotgun's, Semi-Auto Rifle's, SMG's and Other weapons they can carry and alow.
The Soldier's will be issued a Rig & Backpack to carry ammunation, supply's and their weapons, the Legion's and formed in square of 10 soldier's each, once one is attacked they will quickly spread out to increase their fire power, once the threat is eleminated they will reform the square formation once they settle on a strategic point.
They Will no longer use sport's gears, instead Metal Armor and adequate equipment for their battles & enviroment, they now use a type of eye visor to protect them from shrapnel, dust, debris and ocassionaly bullet's & arrow's, with grant them more protection.
The Primes have more protection than the average soldier, they often are used as Squad-Leader's, formed with 2 primes each 5 soldier's, soo they will keep the organization, incase if the second prime dies, another will take charge to settle a temporary camp to recieve reinforcement, in case both dies recruits are organized to settle a temporary camp and select the most experienced and disciplined one awaiting for reinforcement.
