BLACKROSE - RENA
FROM .HACK SERIES - BY CAVINE

Yet another skin I have been thinking about making for some time. This is Renas' in-game char Blackrose. I really enjoyed reading the books ans I might make some other chars from this series as swell, who knows!

My reference for this project, was this lovely image below + some of my own books:

Blackrose! Freakin' awesome. @_@ Although I feel her skin color is looking a bit weird compared to most pictures I've seen of her.

Thank you! I put a lot of work into it as well! By Weird, what do you mean? As in too dark, too light, too pale or? It is something third? I can easily make changes and I'm always up for some ideas! :)
I just went with the colors close to the reference image, as I didn't want her as orange, as she is on my book-cover right beside me :)

Ah, I see. Yeah, I feel it's too... olive-colored, a bit too green. A more orange undertone is how I've always seen her (in the game and otherwise). Although some pictures DO make her too orange, I agree with that. ._. Kinda like this. I think it's a nice brown c: Although I think the artist is different, so ALL of the colors are off, not just her skin. x_x

In the end, the olive color is fine, too. I could tell immediately that it was her. xD
