The Saadi Sergeant is modeled on the Gallican Sergeant, an officer unit recruited from the enlisted body, rather than from the noble class, that can command troops in the same capacity as a noble officer, but is always subordinate to a noble officer's command. Gallican Doctrine is employed in the Saadi New Model Army, with infantry having been drilled and trained by Gallican officers in the lease-agreement the Saadi Dynasty has with the Gallican Admiralty (leased to the Renaud Gallican Family).



The sergeant is a much hardier version of the regular infantry, with added discipline bonuses and boosted stats for experience. The sergeant also has a positive effect in Gallican-style armies, boosting morale for the troops under their command and acting as mobile commanders when seperated from their main command structure. They carry enough equipment to sustain themselves for a week in the field, but only themselves, and they are not typically trained in foraging, though many do pick up the skill on campaign.



The Saadi Sergeant carries various decorum to denote their position and achievements, including special crown-badges that denote the class of act of heroism that won them their promotion. Their coats are studded with silver-coated steel pieces on the coattails and they wear their rank on their sleeve.



The skin itself is heavily inspired by Ottoman design, but I needed to add a unique flavor to give it character in-lore. I used the old Saadi gambeson texture to make the uniform itself, and then added various leather accents and details.
