June 19th, 2285.
The history books tell me we once belonged on a beautiful planet. One where water was abundant, animals roamed freely, and humans were thought to be the most advanced species. But that all changed when a certain meteorite slammed into what was once known as Earth.
The date was July 26th, 2095 when humans discovered a new material from a strange meteorite that seemed to bond with other metallic objects. Any metal the material merged with become tougher and more manageable thus allowing it to handle massive speeds and force. They named this material Mirabice from it's ability to protect.This material caused the human race to advance significantly. Making armors, weapons, vehicles, and eventually spaceships. But the material was running out. So on August 8th, 2143 mankind set out for the stars in search for more Mirabice.
As the years passed by, we found traces of Mirabice on vacant planets, enough to continue but far from what we needed. Because of the new material, human body suits were able to handle harsh environments, allowing settlements on other planets. On September 3rd, 2254 mankind made first contact with alien lifeforms.
The new race called themselves Taren'Zi. The planet they inhabit is covered in dense forestry with tall trees. They are on average seven and a half feet tall, have equine shaped faces, wear mostly robes, and have fur covering most of their bodies. They have two sets of long ears and a strange shortage of fingers and toes, only two toes, two fingers, and a thumb.They're omnivorous and their vast majority of food come from cultivation.
Over time we befriended the Taren'Zi but on January 2260 we discovered a planet close to the alien home world. This planet was rich in Mirabice, we were sent to this planet on orders to extract as much as we could. The Taren'Zi were less then pleased with these plans and retaliated. The planet is considered to be a "Holy Land" to the Taren'Zi and through rituals they cultivate the Mirabice. Because of the need for Mirabice, tensions grew and a war broke out. Both Humans and Taren'Zi now fight for this planet's Mirabice.
My name is Sidra Recino of the 21st Battalion of Earth's Defense Force. I'm twenty eight years old and I've been in the Force for ten years. My mission is to protect the Extractors and gather up as much Mirabice as we can. Welcome to my world.

Changed the back to be more like a jet pack, and made the top seem more natural.

Not saying that i could do better or anything it just looks like the body is plane.
