In a game that's all about mining, few are better suited for the task than Taizo "Dig Dug" Hori, the engineer, demolitionist, and saboteur who's best known for how he exterminated hordes of Pookas and Fygars living underground, then joined Rock Volnutt and Roll Caskett for a while so he could learn to be a "Digger". He's the divorced husband of Tobi "Kissy" Masuyo and has three sons named Ataru Hori, Susumu Hori (best known as "Mr. Driller") and Taiyo Hori.

This skin is based off of Dig Dug's appearance in the Playstation 2 strategy game Namco X Capcom. I once found an awesome Taizo Hori skin online, but when I finally went to download it, it had mysteriously disappeared, thus I was forced to make my own from scratch. His helmet is not actually painted onto his head like the preview image suggests.
