Here is my contribution to the contest "Medieval Times".

"Dancing, joking and entertaining the whole hall. The jester talks like all the problems in the world were just dust on a windy night. There are no bad days or worries now because we are celebrating. The jester knows the problems won't go away, but he goes on dancing and joking as if the problems didn't really exist, with a mask he learned to wear."

Well, behind this cheerful and fun figure is someone who cares about life and has responsibilities, just like us.

You can remove the whole second layer of this and discover a common man weathered by time and accountable. Simple in essence, but with the weight of a world in the back.
