A skin I made for the contest, I haven't made any for a long time, it was refreshing to dig my teeth into a project once more! :D Anyway, onto the description.
The Maw is a mythical creature, that hunts the inhabitants of Inuit inhabitants of the frozen deserts. The site of one of these ghostly monster is considered extremely bad luck, because once this beast picks a target, it hunts them till it catches them, then swallows their soul.... As is seen, It's main characteristic is it's gaping mouth, and It's gray eyes. It is said to eat souls because when it catches it's victim, it leaves the still living body behind, and the eyes completely white. But it as if they are in a permanent coma, as no victim as ever woken from an attack. Some (now deceased) researchers have said that Herobrine may have been a victim that wasn't completely sucked dry, and now roams the world, like a ghost, embodied with some of the same essence that The Maw has... No one is sure if it just a spirit, or if it is an actual creature, and wether it is sentient or not...One disturbing fact, is that sightings have been increasing dramatically over the past few years. No one is sure why. Some say that they do not, in fact, eat souls, but instead, turn them into more of these monsters... While research continues, pray that it(they) do not find you.....
