Nightmare, as the humans call it, is a beast. He comes from the volcano, and was forged by the evil wizard known as Myrleedn. Myrleedn gave him the name Volgus, beast of the volcano. He was the guardian of the volcano, he watched over it, untill one day, a storm came, the island's rapid winds blew everywhere, ashes billowed up into the air, and the volcano spewed molten lava. Volgus was struck by one of the rocks that came from the volcano, he roared, hoping Myrleedn was still alive. No response came, and the rock Volgus was on ground deep into the earth.

Woken one day, he got up, after 20 years. He struggled to his feet. He roared, it rang through the cave he was in. He padded in deeper and found light at the end. He finally flew out, back to the volcano to look for Myrleedn. He walked into the old wizard's house and looked around. "Rrr?" He growled. Nothing came down from the long stairs into Myrleedn's quarters. He long after months, abandoned the island and left to elsewhere.
