The Swamp devourer was once a mear man, a miller. He tended his mill everyday next to the thick foggy swamp. one day his daughter (he was a widow) came to dine with him. he was nowhere to be found. all that was left were muddy footprints leading to the misty swamp. ever since then horrible moaning and screaming has come from the swamp, and locals have gone missing only to have there bloody half eaten bodies found. no one has ever seen the swamp devourer and lived to tell the tale. a tell tale sign is supposedly the his brain which has grew twisted and can be seen atop his head. those smart enough do not venture close but the swamp has a become a horrible path where only death can be found, if you are in the swamp may you be so lucky as to have the swamp devourer already feed from the bloody carcasses of the villagers.
