This is Safire, the water spirit and her is her story:


Safire was once the protector of a magnificent minecraft lake in a forest biome. There were other lakes with their spirits around her but they were hard to see through the thick trees. She, like the other spirits, was not allowed to leave her lake because she had to protect it, and the animals that used it, at all times. Mostly this meant cows and sheep. Also this meant keeping the zombies, skeletons and creepers out of her lake. They scared the peaceful animals and made the water dirty. A creeper explosion could be the end of many fish and maybe even the other animals that swarmed her lake. For all her life she had done wonderfully at her job, until…


She could not believe it! It was a human wonder through the forest. He had a serious expression on his face and carried an axe. He wore a light blue T-shirt and jeans. He also had a backpack on him, not so full at the moment. He got right to work and started chopping down trees. Once a tree was down, he got the sapling and planted it back.


Safire wanted to show herself and say hi. But she knew the rules. Humans had never seen spirits before and whenever they do, they can go crazy. So she hid in her lake and watched as the human started building a small wooden house. Whenever he wasn’t looking, she would continue protecting the animals and her lake. At night she now had to protect the human, who had no advanced weapons. As time passed the human started planting wheat and carrots at the banks of her lake. She gave life to the plants which the human eat and gave to the animals.


One night the human didn’t come home. Safire go worried and went searching into the wood, now full of creatures of the night. Finally she spotted him, running back to his house. So Safire quickly flew back to her lake, so that she wasn’t seen. In the distance she saw the sun slowly making its way up. When she got back to her lake, it was full of those horrible creatures, saving themselves from the soon to rise sun. She started to clear them out but the human came running towards the lake. As Safire hid she saw him falling into the water. He must not be seeing where he was going!


Safire panicked! The lake was still full of creatures and the human was in there with them. She had to save him but would be seen. Without much choice and her caring for the human, she reviled herself. She fought off the monsters who were attacking the human. While she was doing so, she saw the human drowning as he tried to get away from the creatures. Safire dove after him and brought him to the grass. As the human woke up, he saw Safire as clear as day light. He whispered “Thank you.” Stared at her again and asked “What is your name?”


“Safire.” Said the water spirit.


“Mine is Steve. Thank you again.” He said as he died. His body became one with the earth and all that was left were his belonging and some of his memories in small star like balls. Safire knew he would return from the house and minute, so she hid back into her lake.


The next day Safire got news that she would be relocated. The reason was that she had not protected her lake properly, causing her to be seen and the human to die. Her new home would be far below earth, in a cave full of those horrible creatures with no peaceful animals except for a few bats. Over the years she had lost her beauty but never forgot that day. She hopes that the human is fine and maybe one day she will meet him again, but this time on his expeditions.
