We may only change Block, Item and Entity models. Carved pumpkin, the one that's displayed on head, is an item.
Um, nope. Optifine is simply that thing making it this way
Well, in fact there is a similar way but then people wouldn't have been able to get stuff as easy as simple renaming, it would require /give commands with particular indexes if I'm correct
Tbh Optifine is easy-to-be-installed kind of thing so there shouldn't really be problems with using it
from the images I notice that you are already working on it (I would like an answer)
