Don't let the name fool you — this will work for 1.17, all the way down to when glazed terracotta was renamed! It will likely be renamed incrementally, quietly so long this submission is active.

An Essense revival

After three long years of being limited to 1.12, these particular blocks had received their emissive treatment that Devee gave them back in 2017. Re-publishing just the Glazed Terracotta as there are many emissive texture packs these days, but none I found which include Glazed Terracotta.

If you imagined there was always something missing from Glazed Terracotta, then this pack will help to make creations made with it pop in low light. This should be considered an add-on for other OptiFine emissive packs since hardly any of them touch this, and others aren't as likely to provide credit for the original idea where due.

Each of the Glazed Terracotta blocks needed to be renamed for use on 1.16.4, so that's exactly what I did. As I presume Devee isn't active on PMC anymore I figure some people might appreciate this specific element from the original author's work known as Essense.

Reward original authors!

While you are free to give me diamonds, Devee deserves some for the original work as well. As I needed something for preview, I also lifted the video from the original Essense page so prospective users interested in this pack can see what it's about. Nothing else is using OptiFine's emissive textures however.

Submission removal

While based on the lack of reports / scrutiny this resource pack had received since its original posting it seems very unlikely to happen, if the original author of this work or someone in a moderation position on this website politely requests for its removal, then I will remove this submission and my work from GitHub.

I do not anticipate, if this is removed that it will be republished because even if I were to recreate this work on my own, there would be not enough proofs I could submit to prove such is an original work. So sincere apologies to people in advance, should this happen.

Did it occur to you to ask first?

The author has been inactive for three years. I'd imagine Devee has better things to do than field such an obscure request, so I am taking the act first, ask forgiveness later approach for this.
