About
Immersion is a resource pack that aims to enhance Minecraft's graphics, by expanding upon and interpreting the classic Minecraft textures in a higher resolution. Currently, this only includes 32x32 textures, and focuses primarily on blocks.

Ultimately, the pack's name is it's description. The pack tries to upscale the game's graphics, much like the popular pack, Faithful, but unlike Faithful, Immersion focuses on increasing the realism of the textures, providing a smoother and more lifelike aesthetic. Immersion also aims above and beyond, integrating features like OptiFine connected textures support, as well as PBR specular maps designed to take advantage of the potential that SEUS PTGI, Complementary, and other shaders offer. Immersion is also being developed for the Lord of the Rings Minecraft mod, in parallel with the vanilla versions.

Immersion is a massive project, with virtually limitless room for expansion. Currently, it is a 32x resource pack, and it covers mostly blocks. But this is only the beginning of the pack's journey. In time, it will expand further into items, mobs, GUI, etc., and potentially even expand into higher resolutions. The long-term goal is to possibly eventually provide every resolution (up to 2k), and to take extreme care with each resolution to ensure quality.

How Often Does Immersion Update?
This answer can be versatile. Most textures take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours to make, and as I am currently trying to acquire many different skills (game development, modding, animating, music creation, video editing, etc.), my available time to work on Immersion is limited. Further, the time dedicated to development of the pack is spread somewhat thin, as I am not only developing the pack for vanilla Minecraft, but also for the Lord of the Rings mod, a mod which has a much larger asset pool than vanilla Minecraft.

So, what am I saying? What I'm trying to explain is that progress on the pack may be slow or irregular at times. It may occur in stops and starts, and will have highs and lows. That said, I am dedicated to the project, and will strive to push out at least one update per month. I aim to complete all blocks by the end of 2022.

How Can I Help?

The most immediate way that you can help me is simply sharing the pack, commenting, downloading it, etc. I am more than welcoming of suggestions for improvement, or any questions or comments you might have about the pack. you can also join my discord, where I am very active and can communicate in real-time with you.

If you want to support me more directly, you can pledge to my Patreon. Patrons receive several benefits as a token of my appreciation, such as the ability to choose which textures I make next, get early access to unreleased textures, and even potentially request personalized textures that I wouldn't make otherwise.

Also, if you are interested in the lotr mod branch of the resource pack, you can check out the page for that here: Immersion Lotr

Inspiration for Immersion textures comes from the classic Minecraft textures, courtesy of Mojang AB. This pack is in no way affiliated with Mojang and any questions or comments
regarding the pack should not be brought to Mojang, but should rather be directed towards me, the creator, either personally or at
Quin Studios.

YOU MAY:

• Use Immersion and its assets for videos. This includes recorded footage (Let's plays, trailers, etc.) as well as animations or other forms of video that do not directly use the pack, but you must credit me (as either Quin or Quin Studios) in the description
• Use and change any non-texture graphical works related to Immersion, so long as you give credit.
• Customize/edit Immersion, so long as you do not distribute it. You may still upload videos and screenshots using modified textures, but you must give me credit, and note that you modified the textures. Even though you might be the author of the modified textures, you still have no authorship rights over them, because the original textures are not your own work.

YOU MAY NOT:

• Share only the download link to the resourcepack, unless making a translation (see below). If you want to share the resource pack with anyone, you must post a link to one of my respective pack pages (either CurseForge or Planet Minecraft).
• Re-upload the resourcepack or any part of it without permission.
• Republish any Immersion threads or pages without permission. You may make translations on other pages, however, as long as you keep the original downloads, and notify me that you are doing so. You MAY NOT host your own Immersion downloads.
• Use any content from the resource pack for anything other than the things mentioned in this document without permission.
• Remix the resource pack without permission, as that would be a re-upload.

Update #18 : by QuinoaFalafel 08/02/2022 11:53:56 pmAug 2nd, 2022

8/2/2022 -

Massive and long overdue update for Immersion Lotr. I finally retextured almost all existing lotr mod textures, to match the General Beta 3 overhaul. The General beta 4 textures also now carry over to Immersion Lotr.

For Vanilla, the pack has been updated to a 1.9 full release, meaning that all vanilla 1.9 blocks have been textured.

Hey everyone, I've completely overhauled the pack. I haven't added any new blocks (except for the ender chest), but I have retextured virtually everything to match the pack's quality standard. I just thought I'd comment to let you know, and I hope you guys like it!

Hi! I've been looking for my texture packs since I had to redownload them all from a computer issue. I think this was my favorite but I have to verify - Was the original Icon a bunch of leaves/trees? Please let me know

Great work anyways! Thanks.

Do you mean the ingame pack icon? The first version that I had was a screenshot of a sort of wooded valley, and the word Immersion was simply written in black text.

I can't quite remember what icon I used next, but yeah, it underwent a lot of changes over the next updates, and I don't believe I settled on the current vanilla-inspired icon until general beta 1, which was towards the end of March. I will check my older versions when I'm at my pc again, though, to see what other icons I used. Do you remember when you downloaded the pack?

Also, thanks :)

Okay, yeah, so I looked at the old pack icons, and it looks like the first one was in fact a bunch of leaves/trees, with a cliff off to the right. Then, on the September 3rd 2019 update, it then changed to a view looking up through a valley, with Immersion written in white text at the bottom. The icon was then changed again on the 16th to the current format, though it has changed several times as I modified the grass block.

Hopefully this helps!

Then I guess it's somewhat successful in it's goal, since this pack is only 32x. part of this project's inspiration is because I personally really dislike Faithful's textures. They don't smooth color transitions at all, and rarely improve on the textures' realism. Essentially, I'm making Immersion to be what I always wished Faithful would be, but what it never was.
