[OPTIFINE REQUIRED]

You can rename any piece of armor (except leather armor and the turtle shell) in an anvil to ''turtle armor'' will change the texture of the item and model.

Example: renaming ''Iron Chestplate'' to ''Turtle Chestplate'' will give you the turtle chestplate model and item texture.
You can also do this with helmets if you are too lazy to get the real turtle helmet! :)
