NOW UPDATED WITH SOUND

I spent way too much time on this dumb joke.

This pack replaces all Netherite related items and blocks from the snapshot, including the Ancient Debris and Netherite Scrap, and replaces them with Obamium. It even includes its own custom en_us.json language file so that the items also have custom names.

The actual files are technically 128x128 but I designed it to look pseudo 16x16 so that it blends in well with vanilla.

If you need to use any of these textures for your own pack for whatever ridiculous reason please credit me first and then you can do whatever you want.

Caliburner came up with this idea before I did but all the textures in this pack were edited by myself, none were borrowed from his pack. If you are still playing on a version before 1.16, go ahead and check his out! It replaces emeralds.

Also big shoutout to Caliburner and boomerChad for helping me out with the sound files, this pack wouldn't be truly complete without them.

There is a guide on the minecraft wiki for making a usable sound directory for resource packs.
https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Sound_directory#Extracting_Minecraft_Music_On_Linux
Additionally, you can use the sounds.json file in .minecraft/assets/objects/
For making a your resource pack you can simply include the folders/files you want with the changed resources. It's honestly trivial after following the guide.
Thanks so much for this resource pack, I got a kick out of it. I wonder what kind of sounds you will add?

Edit: I linked the linux section but just scroll on that page to find the windows tutorial. :)

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

TYSM for linking this, its gonna be a big help, I have a few ideas on what kinda sounds I want replaced but that's gonna stay secret until the updated pack is out ;)

Also, its fine that you linked the Linux section, that's what I use anyways.

Haha I can't wait. I also noticed that in your translation file you forgot to update the subtitle caption for "subtitles.item.armor.equip_netherite".
It still reads as "Netherite Armor Clanks" if I remember correctly, I changed it myself so I may be mistaken.

Also, I use arch btw...
and gentoo

Edit: I just checked and I am mistaken. It might be a nitpick but you actually don't need to include multiple copies of each sound effect you want. Right here you can learn how to make your own sounds.json file in your pack, and make it so only one of your .ogg files are used for that particular sound. Additionally, the game "should" automatically variate the pitch of the sound effect to prevent it from being repetitive.
