The entire point is not getting trapped, and I guess also the difference between chest and trapped. It ruins the point of it, but at the same time, you also do not get trapped in a very obvious way. Trapped chests are overused anyway and even then trapped chests have a small red part on the handle of the chest in-game, so it doesn't matter. If you don't want it, don't get it.
