This is a resource pack I made to allow users to see and show off their Minecraft skins, even while wearing armor.

Currently working for 1.20.0 - 1.20.6

This idea is based on the Last Life series, I liked being able to see players' skins even while they had armor on. When looking through resource packs, I didn't like the ones I found. With the Last Life series, the armor they had, turned the gold helmet into a crown and I still wasn't a big fan of the netherite armor look. I then decided to take on this project to make my own in the way I liked. Also, unlike other unobtrusive armor, I decided to make armor trims compatible.

Leather Armor
Leather armor has been changed to include a vest, slimmer boots, and shinguards for the pants.
This resource pack allows leather armor to be dyed in-game as normal. As shown in one of the preview images I dye default brown leather armor to red.

Chainmail, Iron, Gold, Diamond Armor
These armors have all have had the main body of the armor removed, leaving only the shoulder pads. Similar to the leather armor, I slimmed the shoes and included shinguards for leggings. Keeping the vanilla helmets the same.

Netherite Armor
Netherite Armor has been altered a bit to be more in line with the other armor, as I'm not a big fan of the look of Netherite in vanilla Minecraft. There wasn't a big reason for this, except personal preference. If enough people ask for it, I'll make a similar resource pack playing on what Netherite actually looks like.

Armor Trims
I've edited armor trims to fit the changes to the armor while doing my best to keep the feel of each trim unique and true to its vanilla counterpart.

Enchantment Glint
I've also reduced the vanilla enchantment glint by 50%, so it's less distracting.

I should note, that although trims have been changed, trimming specifically leather chestplates might look a bit weird since the trims are designed to fit the armor with shoulder pads. All other armor variants should be fine.

I Love the minimal armor it looks amazing, but i was wondering if there was a way for it to look normal on an armorstand, but i don't know if that is possible. I am one that loves useing the armorstand statues data pack, and having armor look like it normaly does on the armorstands would be vary nice.

But no matter what love the pack

I love what you did with the leather armor. It's really making me struggle to decide between this and the other minimal 16x16

Thanks! I wanted to do something a little unique to make it seem like something actually made of leather.

I'm unsure if trims work for the other minimal armor you mentioned. But from what I saw, most don't, if that helps sway your choice.

I also have a version for the upcoming 1.21 update that includes the 2 new trims:
