Dark Realism texture pack for Minecraft 1.5

With this texture pack I started with my "New Realism" textures as a base, and I darkened them. However, this is more than just a darker version of that texture pack. I made new content specific to this pack and I am still working to make this pack hopefully stand out as one of the best of the "dark" texture packs.

It will run fine without it. I don't think you miss out on anything by not using mc patcher. I'm always using Optifine, so I'd have to check myself to be 100% on that.

I can't for the life of me get the Boxxy painting. That was what made me get the texture pack in the first place :c

You know you want the picture bad when you google the image and put into the art file yourself :P I love this pack though. Dark packs are always the best.

I didn't know who Boxxy was until I looked it up just now. I have removed a couple of the more gruesome looking paintings from the pack, I guess one of those must be the one you were looking for. I'm glad that you were able to fix the issue yourself. Thanks for the comments.

I've made a few skins, but it really isn't something I'm a specialist at. Mostly I work on my texture packs and like to build castles in game.

Btw I give this texture pack 8/10 cus of its nice but TO dark! I know it named dark realism but you cant almost see anything!

Since you mention it, have you seen my "New Realism" texture pack?  It has many of the same features as this one, but isn't nearly as dark, and the paintings are of a much more landscape type. You might like it.

wow, an amazing texture pack out with in the hour of 1.2, you sir are talented (or have been working on this and just released it) and have gotten yourself your 16th diamond! I'd wright more but I got a text pack to instal and minecraft to play =D

I've been slacking on updates for a month or two and the new 1.2 just coincided well with me getting back into working on my texture packs. I missed a couple of the new little textures on the terrain file, because I used one of the snapshots to update, but they aren't textures being used in the game yet anyway. Thanks for the comment and the download/diamond!!!

In order to update a texture pack that you have posted you click on the "Update This Texture Pack" button that you should see above the title of you pack. Unless you are asking how I specifically update. In answer to that, I wait for either Minecraft to call for new textures because of added content, or for inspiration to call me to add something to a pack that I have created.

Also, you aren't stupid for asking, however, next time you ask a question you may wish to be more specific in order to be sure and get the appropriate answer that you are seeking.

This texture pack is my current project, I'm playing 1.8 using it now. I will be adding custom paintings, GUI and I also plan to darken the tone further still. I appreciate your comment, thank you for trying it out.
