1.1.1 - Fixed clock and watch. :)

For all Ornate 5 fans, I have taken to myself the task of updating the texture pack, who's creator has stopped updating since Minecraft Beta 1.8! :'(

As Sevenfour has discontinued the texture pack, I have chosen to continue it as it is the only one I would ever want to use (well, asides from JohnSmith), and I'm sure many of you out there would like to have an updated version as well.  I am trying my best to keep with the theme already set, and have fixed various issues in the last vanilla version.  As such, I will be keeping the pack up to date as much as possible.

Of course, the original texture pack at Minecraft Beta 1.8 by Sevenfour can be found here.

Resolution versions.
¦ 64x
¦ 32x

Mods supported.
¦ Connected Textures Mod
¦ Random Mobs

Notable features.
¦ Realistic.
¦ Smooth transitions.
¦ Great for architecture.
¦ Dark and detailed.
¦ Goes well with RPG and middle-CE European themes.

Here is the archive of the texture pack.
¦ 1.0.0 - 1.1.1

Images are of version 1.1.1 and will be updated when deemed necessary.

Additional Details

Thanks to Ball Lightning for the cinematics film!

I am not the original creator of Ornate 5!  I am simply doing an update for this, as it has been abandoned since Minecraft Beta 1.8.  Sevenfour's pack can be found here!

If you want to make a mixpack of these updated Ornate textures, I am giving permission for you to do this, but please ASK me first and correctly reference me as it has taken many hours of work to keep Ornate 5 Revived styled as the original Ornate 5 was.  I decided that these forms are appropriate to allow because some people do have genuine talent and mindsets to create great works.  However, I do not approve of simple tweaks to the textures as legitimate remixes, as that is something that takes a few minutes of effort and isn't much more than a reupload.

NOTE: On his Minecraft Forums post, Sevenfour said he has discontinued Ornate 5, and it is available for any uses.

Sounds like a SEUS issue, which has never been fixed.  Are you using those shaders?

Apparently Mediafire has stopped the ability to direct link, so I replaced both downloads with the non-direct links, although the previous direct link would have redirected to it anyways.

It is a direct link, so it should download as soon as you click on it.

Hi here, just wanna let you know that I'm working on continuation of
this TP on my own, taking up the work after the 2nd caretaker
represent601. Feel free to check over if you are interested.
I just
now found that someone already is working on this tp (DesuMotoko) so
well... too late lol... now at least you have 2 variations available to
choose from ;P
Although mine is 64x64 or higher res., but I leave this msg here just for the case you would like to try out higher res. or just see how it looks done by me.

Not sure if you followed the work of represent601, but since 1.3 the TP was discontinued
by him, so with his permission I took over where he stopped, and the Ornate 5 was
once again resurrected, so it's continuation is called Ornate 5
Re-resurrected and is now fully up-to-date!
Tons
of former textures has been corrected, pixelated-perfection uhm... and
added alternative textures for customization with the new 1.5 release.

If you loved the former one, you will like to see the work I have done so far ;) (I hope at least! :s)
Just click my nick and you will find it ;)
It is also available at minecraftforum.net ofc.

Have fun /cheers

If you can and have the time you should try to make the texture pack have tekkit textures and other big mods and mod packs.

Loving the pack. Only thing I've noticed so far is that the back of paintings have no texture, it's see-through. I am not sure if it's all paintings or just the 2x2 one with a golden frame and a man's face (possibly Notch). Other than that, good work. :)

DesuMotoko
Level 60
High Grandmaster Mountaineer

I've found what the situation is.  There are no backs to the paintings because of the varying types of frames given.  Instead, there is a bit of "wire" to mount the painting on the wall instead.  It's been there since before I started the continuation.

DesuMotoko
Level 60
High Grandmaster Mountaineer
November 3, 2012, 3:56 pm

There's a back on the painting?  Ah, I think I know what that would be.  It was never in the original pack, but I am doing another update soon for both resolutions with some more work on stuff, so you'll be sure to see that in it!

You mean you don't see any change, in the block light, or you don't see any animation?  I will put in animated blocks soon.  If it's the actually block light, then it could be a variety of issues.

Oh the lighting happens and the flame affect is there, but the furnace
itself, there is no change. If you just haven't added them yet, then I
apologize and understand, I can wait. Thanks for the reply :)
Btw- I use the 64x version I commented on the wrong one, sorry :S
I'm a fan though, I appreciate this pack a lot

Ah, yes, I think I know what you mean.  I actually use a different texture pack for daily use so it didn't come to me at first, but think I know what you mean.  I believe that both textures are the same.  It was in before 1.8 beta so I never bothered with it as I am actually continuing Sevenfour's work.  I suppose it is something I wouldn't mind changing as it would be a good improvement to make upon the work.  Thanks! :)

Hey there, DesuMotoko!

Great texture pack! I love the mood of it and it is very, how do you say, dark. Anyway, I was just wondering if you could tell me the name of the font used for the preview thumbnail (the text that says Ornate 5 Revived). If you could tell me it would be greatly appreciated!

This is a wondeful pack. The doors are a bit strange, though, and the flowing lava has no animation. So a pillar of lava just appears to be frozen in place. Is that part of the pack or do I just need to repatch?

yes, thanks nama24.

I recommend running MCPatcher to change the RAM allotment and then add the Optifine .zip to the list of mods you want to install.  Take mind that you'll have to disable all of the mods already listed on MCPatcher because Optifine has them itself, and having both enabled upon patching will cause Minecraft to fail to work.

If you want to use it for photos and as a recommendation for the map, go for it!  However, I don't give permissions for packaging it with maps (as in it's in the download for the map itself).
