So many different pack versions! What pack do I choose?
Bellow are the specifications of each pack individually.

Default 3D Low
would be your way to go when the computer you're using isn't that powerful. Considering it's derived from Default 3D High. In comparison, it lacks a few block models and features pack-specific block models. This ensures the pack will run smooth. Models in this pack also features 'connecting texture faces', this makes all textures of all faces of a model connect seamlessly with its adjacent faces, creatin an eye-pleasing gameplay experience.

Default 3D Medium is a great alternative for both Low and High, hence the word 'medium'. It features all blocks, items and textures Default 3D High does. The only difference is that some block models are altered to feature less elements. This benefits the pack's performance. It's designed for decent performing computers. Models in this pack also features 'connecting texture faces', this makes all textures of all faces of a model connect seamlessly with its adjacent faces, creating an eye-pleasing gameplay experience.

Default 3D High can be considered a number one choice, granted that your computer's performance is average or above. Unaltered, it features all blocks, items and textures. Models in this pack also features 'connecting texture faces', this makes all textures of all faces of a model connect seamlessly with its adjacent faces, creating an eye-pleasing gameplay experience.

Default 3D Classic is a unique pack, as it's the oldest version of Default 3D. Performing similarly as Default 3D High, it's semi-compatible with many other resource packs. It also features all blocks, items and textures Default 3D High does, but doesn't however feature connecting texture faces.

Default 3D Snapshot is exactly what its name implies. It's derived from High, but features models for the newest blocks and items that are added in snapshots. Note that these snapshot models are also featured in any other pack, but in case packs cannot function with newer versions of Minecraft, this pack always will.

Fixed it!

Default 3D High 16w48b was unable do be loaded in any version of Minecraft. Meaning it would be thrown out of the active resource pack list the moment one would try to load it. After fiddling around a little, this has now been fixed.

Default 3D Medium is now available! It's a pack for those who can run Default 3D easily Low, but can't quite run Default 3D High smoothly.

The pack is derived from Default 3D High and features pack-specific block models. Said blocks are then altered to features less elements, which is great for pack performance, and added as alternate models. Meaning that one block may feature multiple unique block models.

Yes! More unique sand textures that can get stuck in your footwear!

Not one or two, but 30 unique textures have been added as well as six new blocks. The textures of these blocks are based on default textures and colors, making them a rather subtle but very welcome feature. Walking through a desert or a on a beach will be a much nicer experience from now on.

Unique default-like alternative textures!

The content added looks better than the title of this update log sounds.

Thirty new and unique red sand textures have been added. They are based of the default gravel texture. These new textures are only the tip of the iceberg as there are many more to come. These new, randomly appearing and alternating textures will ensure your mesa biome wont look as dull and one-toned as it did before.

Also, Default 3D Low now no longer features 3D planks on top of the bookshelves.

Updated, Tweaked, Revamped!

'Hmm, I can't recall there being a Low, Medium, High and Classic version of Default 3D. Why is that?' you might be wondering.

The Default 3D resource pack assortment has been updated to benefit your Minecraft experience. The new packs provide you with a wider and more performance-related assortment of freshly baked resource packs.

Unlike the old pack versions which were based of Default 3D Standard, now called Default 3D Classic. The new pack versions are based of Default 3D High, formerly known as Default 3D Plus.

More and specific attention has been given to the new pack versions to ensure every computer can run Default 3D smoothly. The new resource packs also provide you with greater quality and quantity of block and item models as well as textures.

Details for the new versions can be found under the 'Pack Details' tab.

They'll taste a lot better than they did before.

New wet sponge and white wool textures and models! These new textures and models feature something special. All textures of all block faces seamlessly connect with each other. This creates a much more pleasant playing experience.

Six new models and eighteen textures were made for the each new addition. Thanks to the many textures, models and unique blockstate file, which rotates the blocks in many directions-- These soft-feeling blocks will appear to look more random.

Grass and its pebbles-- Default 3D Plus fixed

Grass blocks that feature pebbles are a key characteristic of Default 3D. Sadly the abundant variations of models for a single block can sometimes cause problems regarding streamlining all models of all packs to fit the most recent version of Minecraft.

In the previous versions of Default 3D grass blocks featuring pebbles would sometimes show as a purple-block checkered block for some users, this has now been fixed! Time to equip your adventuring pantaloons and start tripping and falling on these pebbles again.

Already an item model for a new item-- the Totem of Undying. Isn't that just great?

If you think that's great, wait until you see the various new sponge textures that have been added to Default 3D Plus. Six new models and eighteen textures to be exact. All the nether wart models have been added to each and every version of Default 3D. From the tiny, cute warts to the giant, creepy ones. Nether wart has been added! Only the fully grown stage that is, for now. Harvesting your nether region crops will be a more satisfying experience from now on.

16 September 2016 (16w38a) - Now compatible with 1.11! : 09/16/2016 11:15:34 am9/16/16

Now compatible with 1.11!

Dark oak log models and textures have been added to Default 3D Plus. Six new models and eighteen textures to be exact. Thanks to the many textures, models and unique blockstate file, which rotates the blocks in many directions-- Jungle logs will appear to look more random.

Although the game might tell you otherwise , Default 3D Plus has been made compatible with Minecraft 1.11 and its snapshots. Unlike Default 3D Snapshot, Plus still uses the 1.10 pack.mcmeta.

What exactly has changed? In Minecraft 1.11, resource packs may not contain any folders that have uppercase letters. This is because OS other than Windows do differentiate uppercase from lowercase folders, meaning that 'example' and 'Example' are interpreted as two competely different folders. Beacause Default 3D Plus contained one folder that has uppercase letters i it and many model files linking to said folder, many changes have been made to make sure the pack will function the same for all OS.

9 September 2016 (16w37a) - Pebbles, stones or rocks? : 09/09/2016 11:50:20 am9/09/16

Pebbles, stones or rocks?

Whatever you may call them-- The oh so recognizable lumps of stone that are scattered all over your world when using Default 3D have been remodeled.

Inspired by the cobblestone texture and model, the pebbles no longer look like strange piles of 'gravel'. The new pebbles appear on top of the following blocks: Grass, dirt and coarse dirt. Stepping onto one will open a whole new world to you, figuratively speaking.

Could you write the spec recommendation please?

For example, i use a GTX 970 16GB RAM With an AMD processor, but i also use shaders.
i get 100 FPS with the shaders but i dont want for it to gow any lower than 80. Which version would you recommend for me to use?

Considering everyone has a different preferred minimum when it comes to requirements, like render distance, fps, shaders or game settings in general. Even the amount of certain blocks used in builds and density of builds is a great factor.

I can't really tell you what exact specs one needs to run any given pack. Your setup will handle Default 3D High easily at or above a 16 chunk render distance, disregarding the shaders.
Edit Reply Delete
So, I downloaded the Default 3D Low because my computer is nothing more than a low-budget laptop, and it worked perfectly for my needs (I didn't want super laggy fancy cobblestone anyway) until I saw the cobblestone slab. Instead of being unchanged, it turned into the Black And Magenta 2x2 Checkerboard Of Doom when I placed them down. Could you fix this maybe?

Just know that Default 3D Lite is the least resource intensive pack, the easiest on any computer.

It all depends on the amount of certain blocks loaded as well as your render distance.

You could try using Default 3D Plus. If that doesn't work out, give Default 3D Lite a try, as that's the least resource-intensive pack.

Default Lite 16w40a. I tried most of the other as well but don't know the versions (since I deleted them as I liked Default Lite most.)

The affected textures seem to be all the items that would change their texture as their durability decreases. I'm specifically interested in the decaying shield textures and sword textures that I saw you posted on reddit quite some time ago. Neither of which are working. I've tried running your texture pack with both optimize and a vanilla client with no success. I wish I could give you more info, but I'm not sure what info would be helpful or relevant.

Look, I appreciate that you would like some form of compensation for your work and I usually have no issues with this, however the adverts/scare tactics that are showing for this so you can make some money are the entrance to the rear end of the internet.
https://youtu.be/77ZTdoNspN4

Sure its easy enough to close this rubbish down but are you happy having fake virus alerts showing whenever someone downloads your resources? It not only makes you look bad but is disgusting scare tactics to scam money out of those who don't know any better.

I hope you take this into consideration and contact your host to rectify this issue or find another more suitable host.

Hello,

Not too long ago I contacted the download service about the exact same complaints you're having. They assured me it was merely a test and that they fixed it.

After reading this message, I've sent them another complaint requesting to fix their advertisements as well as download button. Believe me if I tell you that with these kind of 'advertisement tactics' the piece of cake I get in exchange for it is anything but big.

Thanks for providing the video, as advertisements can vary for people.

I might have to search for alternatives if these problems keep popping up.

This is one of my favorite packs! I think it's the only one I found that has almost all of the blocks and items fully 3D! Diamond!

I was looking around in the resourcepack folder to see how you did it, (I was just curious don't worry I won't rip you off) and I found the "milk_still" texture. Because I know the milk bucket changed, I would normally just guess it was for that, but it is missing the bucket, and then I would guess it was just an extra, unused texture, but it has the movement code. I'm just a little curious on what this is. Some other things I'm curious about are the "ruby_ore_sparkle" and "sapphire_ore_sparkle" . Care to explain?

Hello,
The 'Milk_still' texture is indeed used for the milk bucket. The texture is really just and edited default 'Water_still' texture. The reason why there is no bucket in the image is simply, the model uses specific coordinated from it and uses the bucket textures from the empty bucket texture. You could consider some pixels of the 'Milk_still' image to be useless, considering they're not used.

As for the ruby and sapphire textures, they are just leftovers of a mod Default 3D once supported in 1.8. The mod is called 'Bulky', simply click on my name and it will appear.

Stair variants? I love this pack, and I'd love it more if my upside down stairs were 3D as well.

Dear person,

First of all, MCPE is not ready yet for a texture pack like this. I suggest you to wait a bit. Also, since MCPE has limited amount of blocks/items, he must create a new pack specific pack only for MCPE.

Thank you for your attention

Okay, thanks a lot. I already check the resource pack template and there is no model folder. And your welcome :)

With default 3D standard and Minecraft 1.10.2, if you apply a pattern to a shield using a banner, it won't show up on the shield.

There is no need to be rude, I was simply asking if a model that was once (apparently) in the pack is still in the pack. No, I don't think Minecraft is Walking Dead, I'm not that stupid. I've been playing for 4 years, I would've been on the Modpack if I wanted walking dead - but frankly I don't like walking dead. Asking about a gun model does not mean I am asking about the pack being a Walking Dead pack, just means I'm asking where the gun model. I said nothing of the sort of anything other than "Wheres the gun model"
Amazing how rude people are over a question. Here's the link to the thread that says this pack had a gun model once.

(Late reply, lol.) Know2Good posted a reddit thing saying "Animated Pistol Model" and referred to going to the PMC page / pack for instructions as to how to get the animated pistol model, and as the instructions in the pack doesn't lead to the folder it says other textures / models are in, and theres no instructions on the page, I was wondering if it was still in the pack.
