History

Last year, I set out with the goal of making a modern texture pack that everyone would enjoy using. As a modern builder I felt that the modern theme did not have it's own pack yet. I edited the first texture in this pack on December 16 2011: the cobblestone. However, over the course of a year, I have created my own completely new addition to the world of modern building: The Modern HD Pack.

Every terrain texture in this pack has been edited from scratch or from real pictures. As an avid modern Minecraft architect, I have consistently used this pack on my servers and on other showcases. For fear of leakage, I began to delete many duplicates of the pack, trying to preserve its secrecy until the day I release it. From the terrain editing I proceeded to learn modern architecture in leaps and bounds, always adding new and useful elements to the pack as I went. When I learned of the connected texture mod (cgm) in optifine and MCpatcher, I joined the few texture artists who had mastered this mod. When I saw better skies used in another pack, I instantly downloaded MCpatcher and used pictures of the real sky around my house to edit it. Finally, i began the large task of animating my textures, I am still in the process of this, but I can promise my animations will improve

Over the year I have worked on this pack, it has brought ups and downs. Twice my computer crashed and I needed to rework many files from old backups in nearly unused flash drives. I plan to continue working on this pack as long as Minecraft continues updating, regardless of its popularity. stone bricks (all variations), grass, stone slabs, saplings, new font, new guis, new title screen, new water animation, new diamond ore animation, new lapis lazuli, new redstone torches, new repeaters and comparators, new wool, optimized quartz, new light sensor, new bark texture, and many more!

1.4.7 Version Update : 03/12/2013 1:54:24 pm3/12/13

A few bugfixes on the textures, redstone, new stone brick, new original skymaps for betterskies, new font, basically preparation for the 1.5 update, this will most likely be the final 1.4.7 compatible version unless there are any major bugs.

1.4.7/1.5 and overall update : 01/26/2013 11:12:48 am1/26/13

Updated to 1.5 but still with 1.4.7. Lots of new textures including

Potatoes, carrots, cactus, tripwire hook, torch, red stone torch, ladder, red stone repeater, lever, tweaked nether brick, quartz, quartz ore, chiseled/ column quartz, quartz ore, hopper, comparator, animated diamond ore, red stone block, water animation, fire animation, daylight detector, GUI fixes, and much more!

This update is primarily a Bug-Fix for the main release, But includes several updated textures, Including:

Torches, Water, Stone Bricks, Roses, Yellow Flowers, Animated Water, Furnaces, Dispensers, Saplings, Wood Doors, ladders, all Minecart Tracks, Tnt, Ice, Sugar cane, Font fixes, better skies fixes, New Sun, And many more :)
